In recent months, a greater awareness of racism, white privilege and the need for racial equity has entered the public dialogue in Madison. Those of us who are white have a critical role to play in reflecting on our role in racism, and taking action towards equity and healing.
Please join Groundwork from October 12-November 16th for our 2014 fall workshop to deepen our understanding and build community as we engage in work for racial justice. This six-week workshop examines how racism and white privilege affect our lives, communities, institutions and movements for social justice. The workshop will focus on white, European Americans but will be open to all.
We seek to engage heads, hearts and voices in a transformative process of learning. Workshop participants share food and stories to build community and deepen our shared learning.
If you are interested in learning more about the workshop, please see the workshop application. We hope to see you in the fall.
